Hide the Quick Launch in SharePoint 2010

This elusive issue snuck up on me today, as a client requested it be gone. Naturally, I googled this and it is not quite as easy as it seems.
In order to do this, you need the content editor webpart and as you all know its completely redesigned for 2010. The edit the html source is now located on the ribbon. That sucker is pretty hidden!

It is can be found in the format text tab of the ribbon in edit mode:

Now that you know where it is, here is the code that hides the quick launch:

Now save your page and you may now use the entire length of your sharepoint site.
